The Italian shoe retailer Santoni SpA presented a prominent newcomer on Thursday: Eraldo Poletto will lead the company as CEO in future.
The manager brings a lot of experience. Most recently he was CEO of the Diesel brand, before that he had managed other well-known international fashion and shoe suppliers such as Stuart Weitzman, Salvatore Ferragamo and Furla. At Santoni, he was already a member of the board of directors before his appointment as CEO.
Poletto took over the management of operations from Giuseppe Santoni, who will serve as Chairman and Executive President of the family company. The appointment is part of a “fundamental organizational reform,” said Santoni. This is aimed at “advancing the strategic development of the brand, ensuring its international relevance and at the same time maintaining close contact with its roots”.
The company now has high hopes for Poletto: “His extensive and in-depth experience with major brands combined with a global perspective and strong determination make him an ideal candidate,” said his new employer. With his “entrepreneurial spirit” and an “innovative perspective,” Poletto will be “a valuable asset to Santoni.”
