Santanchè: the Visibilia company has been filed for bankruptcy

Lhe filed for bankruptcy for Visibilia Editore at the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Officea company that publishes – among others – periodicals such as Novella 2000, Ciak And View. Apparently, the start of the investigation dates back to after the elections, when the new tourism minister Daniela Santanchè had already disposed of the quotas. The reason for this request from the power of attorney? Debts with the tax authorities for a total of almost one million euros. And, it seems, also a fraudulent bankruptcy investigation.

Daniela Santanchè on the Visibilia Editore case

Santanchè, for his part, clarified. “IS absolutely false that I am investigated. We will take legal action. There can be no bankruptcy, because before bankruptcy the company must go bankrupt. But the partners are solvent and can pay the folder ».

The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that Visibilia Editore – a company that had the Senator of the Brothers of Italy as its first shareholder until a few weeks ago Daniela Santanchè – pour into a “evident and manifest state of insolvency“.

The company – founded by the same new Minister for Tourism – would have debts towards the Revenue Agency for approximately 984 thousand euros. For this reason, the Milan public prosecutor would have asked for judicial liquidation (i.e. the procedure that replaces bankruptcy) of the same.

The request for judicial liquidation came later an analysis by the Guardia di Finanza on the company’s financial statements between 2016 and 2020 and it started from a complaint of the minority shareholders, who had also started a civil case for “serious irregularities in the management” of the company in question.

The loss-making company

Apparently, “constant losses” have already been recorded since the 2016 financial year. Finally, “false corporate communications relating to financial statements, at least from 2017” are also hypothesized. And this is why many, these days, speak of an investigation involving the former directors of the company. Santanchè (Minister for Tourism in the government of Giorgia Meloni) including.

Daniela Santanchè’s response: “There are no crimes”

The new Minister for Tourism, on the other hand, denied everything. With a note from his lawyer, Salvatore Sanzo, he made it known that “has not been investigated in any criminal proceedings and has not held any position in Visibilia Editore spa for years“. It’s still. “It is not true that” a case of fraudulent bankruptcy is open “, given the absence of the objective assumption of the judicial liquidation of the company, only hypothesized in the abstract” “.

In an interview with Radio Me too on Radio1, the exponent of the Brothers of Italy then clarified further. “It is absolutely untrue that I am being investigated and we will take legal action. There is no suspect“.

The Meloni government is born: who are the six ministers chosen by the new prime minister

Regarding his link with the company, then: «Visibilia is a company that I created but it was sold. There is an unpaid tax bill and the new members will meet. There are no crimes. There is no crime hypothesis. And it is not fair that journalists write things that have no basis. I have never sued a journalist, but this time I let loose ».

Then he continued. «It all stems from a complaint made by a minority shareholder. The proceeding is opened ex officio, then the Guardia di Finanza carried out the investigation and found this unpaid tax bill. It is possible that hypotheses can be made on model 45 but another is to say “Santanchè investigated”. There can be no bankruptcy, because before bankruptcy the company must go bankrupt. But the partners are solvent and can pay the folder. There is no crime of insolvency. There could be hypotheses of crime, but this is not the case ».
