Cthe curtain also lifts on the second evening of Sanremo Festival 2024. Wednesday 7 February only 15 of the 30 Bigs in the competition performed and at the end of the evening Amadeus communicated the Top 5, i.e. names of the 5 most voted singers. The public voted at home via televoting and the Radio Jury, new this year.
Sanremo 2024, Geolier in first place in the rankings
In first place is Geolier with I’m for me, you’re for you. Second place for Irama with Not you, third place Annalisa with Sincerely. Continues to fourth place for Loredana Bertè with Crazy And Mahmood closes with Gold suitwhich takes fifth place. The votes of both juries with a weight of 50% decide the final result.
Compared to the first evening ranking, the top five sees two new entries: Geolier and Irama. The clear demonstration of how the result can change – and probably will change – over the course of the five evenings.
Tomorrow evening the same mechanism will be repeated. So the public and the Radio Jury will vote again. The remaining 15 competing singers will performpresented by the artists who performed tonight.

A challenge between future catchphrases
Geolier’s first place is not surprising. He has been among the favorites since the pre-listenings. Born in 2000, he has two albums to his credit, Emmanuel And The courage of children.
Over 350,000 copies sold, 45 platinum discs, 21 gold discs, 1.4 billion streams. Important numbers, which put him in the list of possible winners. The song he brings is in Neapolitanbut evidently it doesn’t seem like an obstacle.
Irama is also not to be underestimated. This is his fifth Sanremo and in his career he has obtained 47 platinum records, 5 gold records, for a total of over 3.3 million copies sold.
Same goes for Annalisa, the artist who dominated 2023 with Beautiful, My love And Lonely girl. Sincerely it’s already a catchphrase: it gets into your head the first time you listen, it stays there and from a Eurovision perspective it could be the right song to conquer Europe.
Is Loredana Bert the surprise of Sanremo 2024?
The first evening saw Loredana Bertè in first placeawarded by the Jury of the Press, TV and Web Room. Crazy has received positive reviews and tonight’s ranking has everyone in agreement. It is one of the most popular songs of Sanremo 2024. Can he aspire to victory? Maybe.
Certainly Mahmood should also be kept an eye on, which continues to occupy fifth place. This is his third participation, after triumphing in 2019 with Money and in 2022 with Chills paired with Blanco. The race, however, is still open. After tomorrow’s votes, a more complete picture will be available on Friday 9 February, at the end of the covers evening, when all 30 Bigs will perform.
