Sanna Marini’s outfit at Linna’s party: Katri Niskanen’s evening dress

Sanna Marini’s outfit has been one of the most anticipated at Linna’s parties. She arrived at the Independence Day reception in a unique creation by Finnish fashion designer Katri Niskanen. Glowing in yellow, the sculptural evening dress fits Marini’s distinctive style.

Even though Marin would probably now have access to the selections of top international fashion houses, she nevertheless decided to wear an outfit by a Finnish designer.

Modern, but valuable

Sanna Marin gave Katri Niskanen complete freedom to realize the outfit. Niskanen says that he decided quite intuitively what the idea and color of the outfit would be.

– Feminine, but edgy. Modern, but valuable. I think it looks and feels a lot like Sanna, Niskanen commented.

According to Niskanen, the bright yellow tone of the outfit exudes Sanna Marini’s charisma and reflects her sunny and luminous personality.

– Yellow is not the most typical color for an evening dress, Niskanen reminds.

Marin’s outfit uses 11 meters of beautifully flowing silk-blend that shines and glows. The outfit fits Marini’s style. It is also a very classic and familiar sculptural Katri Niskanen style. Niskanen had not previously designed a custom-made outfit for Marin.

In Marini’s suit, the massive insignia are a determining factor and, according to Niskanen, also a fascinating factor.

– I thought carefully about how to make the badges look good overall. I was able to build the outfit from scratch and without compromises, Niskanen is happy.

Niskanen manufactured a total of 12 new and unique evening dresses for the 2023 Linna party. It is estimated from Katri Niskas that, in addition, there are dozens of ready-made dresses designed by her at the party.

Marin trusts Finnish fashion

Sanna Marin has been seen at Linna’s parties before in the creations of Finnish designers. In 2022, he arrived at Linna’s party Sari Hörkön in a white t-shirt sleeved evening dress designed by Marin for the party. The Grand Cross of the White Rose of Finland rested on top of the outfit.

In 2019, Marin’s outfit was also designed by Katri Niskanen. The one-shoulder suit has elegant draping, which is at the forefront of trends right now.

Marin wore her future wedding dress to the 2018 Linna party. The white evening dress designed by Anni Ruuth was simply elegant.

For the 2017 party, Marin wore a black, stylish slip dress by the Finnish brand R/H. She was pregnant at the time of the party.

At the 2015 Linna party, Marini wore a unique Marimekko outfit.
