Why should you accept that your own league champion doesn’t get a 100% chance of being promoted directly?
Maybe because you can somehow manage it in the north and in Bavaria? Or is it again about a special role for the Northeast, despite all the arguments against it (and have been repeated at length here in the thread)?
Why don’t you completely abolish direct promotion in the regional league and let all 4 promoted players play out in direct duels at the end. Southwest, NRW and Northeast each get two starting places because they each represent more residents, Bavaria and North one each, which means that you would have 8 participants and thus 4 duels, which will then be drawn in advance.
But you remember that this was exactly what existed until 2018 (6 teams lost 3 places) and was just as unpopular? After that – this has also been mentioned by other users – people at the RL level (including NOFV!) became greedy and talked the third division club into a fourth relegation with the promise of finding a four-league solution for the RL in return . This promise was not kept. Why should the third division agree to another redesign while retaining the 4 promoted/relegated teams? They expressly only accepted the additional relegation because there should only be direct promotions in the future.
And again, the main association responsible for the fact that there is no pure direct promotion solution to date is the NOFV. Please do not duck this fact after you expressly welcomed the NOFV’s decision to remain in its own league in your first post.
