Sander Lantinga thinks that he did not make the worst TV program of the past season, but his colleague Wendy van Dijk. “I’ve seen people dance who almost fell down…”
The game show Vier Is Te Veel by Sander Lantinga was taken off the tube in June due to very low viewing figures. Now the presenter gets a kick: the SBS show wins the prize for the worst TV program of the year. “I accept it and I have to chuckle a bit,” the presenter responded yesterday in Eva Jinek’s talk show.
Sander surprised
Sander initially seems rather resigned about it. “I think: then I won a TV prize once. Look, the flag won’t go up, I’m honest about that. I had a lot of fun making it.”
Then Sander protests a bit against the price. “If I have to be very honest: look, maybe it was just a bit of a low flyer. Maybe a little trivial, but with a lot of worry. It just didn’t catch on, but to say that this is really the worst program of the whole year…”
Sneer at Wendy
Fellow table guest Marc-Marie Huijbregts: “Do you have another example?”
Sander: “Well, for 48 hours I’ve seen people dancing who almost fell down…”
Hostess Eva Jinek: “Yes, that’s true, yes. That Dance Marathon.”
Marc-Marie: “Yes. “You still move so beautifully,” Wendy said, don’t you?”
dance flop
During the Dance Marathon presented by Wendy, candidates nearly dropped to death from exhaustion. People even wondered whether the presenter should not appear in court.
Eva to Angela: “That was indeed something. What do you think, should have won that as the worst TV program?”
Angela de Jong: “Well, the list is quite long of programs that could have been. Think Inside The Box wasn’t exactly a great success either, and Educating Do You Like It wasn’t either.”
