Sander Lantinga is again faced with a major setback. After the news that Radio 538 will stop with its daily Coen & Sander Show, he now sees his return to television fail.
The new TV quiz Vier Is Te Veel with Sander Lantinga as central presenter started on Sunday evening at half past eight with only 246 thousand viewers (5% market share) on SBS 6. These are not even enough viewers for a place in the top ratings. 25. A major setback for the 45-year-old radio producer.
‘Worthless!’
The few people who have watched Four Is Too Much don’t like it. “Nevertheless, it’s great to come up with such a worthless program again. It just goes on and on, it’s about nothing,” tweets Sjaak.
Sonja: “What a boring program.”
Sander himself is satisfied. He says in TROS Kompas: “Luckily I can say that it went pretty well. But it is a profession in itself. Not every presenter can present a quiz. It’s clearly not about me, other than on the radio, but I was put there because SBS expects some fireworks and jokes left and right.”
What does Tina say?
Tina Nijkamp, former channel boss of SBS 6 and expert in the field of viewing figures, is not surprised that Sander scores so badly. She points to the sudden boom of quiz shows, all of which score meager. “After The Connection, The 1% Quiz, new quiz number three also didn’t get off to a good start,” she says.
She continues: “Dutch viewers seem to be mainly interested in ‘golden oldies’ quizzes such as Weekend Miljonairs and De Slimste, given the many and many flops in the quiz field in recent years. It just doesn’t seem to work with new quizzes, except for exceptions such as I Know Everything and Beat the Champions.”
Floor on one
The prime time winner yesterday was Floortje Dessing with 1.1 million viewers (27%) for Floortje Naar Het Einde Van De Wereld on NPO 1. Immediately before, at 9.30 am, Het Dorp attracted 1 million viewers (21 percent). Humberto offered the most watched alternative with 564 thousand viewers (13%).
NPO 1 scored considerably less well at half past eight: Giovanca Ostiana disappoints as the successor of Boer Zoekt Vrouw. The second episode of the gospel show Amazing Grace attracted only 650 thousand viewers (13%).
At this time, Giovanca not only had to give way to the Caroline Tensen show One against 50 (792 thousand viewers and 16%), but also Raven van Dorst on the much smaller NPO 3. It attracted 764 thousand viewers (16%).
Viewing figures
Programs that also did not make the top 15 include Nieuwsuur (471 thousand), Shownieuws (459 thousand), ADO Den Haag – Excelsior (452 thousand), WNL op Zondag (375 thousand) and Million Dollar Island (364 thousand).
