SAND Copenhagen is a Danish brand for women’s and men’s fashion, which at the same time has deep roots in fine Italian fashion. The brand combines the best of both traditions, creating a creative label with a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for aesthetic design.

origins

SAND Copenhagen was founded in Denmark in 1981 by Lene and Søren Sand. Since the brand was founded, it has been a family-run company with its headquarters in the Danish town of Randers.

SAND Copenhagen represents strong values. The label continuously pursues the goal of reducing its impact on the environment and strengthening social and economic sustainability, creating great designs and ensuring transparent production. For this purpose, the brand uses, among other things, fabrics with special durability to extend the life of each item.

evolution

The commercial activities of the brand were transferred to Copenhagen in 1998. However, the label’s design studio relocated to the Italian city of Como. With these different locations, the brand combines the Scandinavian sense of design and style with the high-quality craftsmanship of Italy.

“We are not just a fashion company that makes clothes. There are many thoughts behind every collection, and there is a lot of creative energy in every piece. Not just because of the feel of the fabrics or the beauty of the pieces, but also because you can wear anything with ease and feel comfortable anywhere,” says founder Søren Sand on the brand’s website.

Current

Today the label has more than 1,200 retailers in 32 countries on six different continents. In addition, Sand Copenhagen is represented by the following influencers: Aloe Blacc, Darja Barannik, Emili Sindlev, Erik Forsgren, Janka Polliani, Josefine HJ and Zina Charkoplia.
