Pedro Sanchez will fly in the next few days to Kyiv to meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The trip will be “soon”, as confirmed in Moncloa, where however they refuse to offer more details for now “for security reasons”.
The news of the displacement of the President of the Government to Ukraine, in the middle of the war, comes just after he himself ratified this Monday, in an interview in ‘Public Mirror’ (Antenna 3), which the Spanish Embassy in kyiv would be reopened “in a few days”, as a sign of “commitment” of the Executive “and of Spanish society with the Ukrainian people”. Madrid closed its diplomatic legation in February, after the start of the Russian invasion and after having evacuated the Spanish residents in the country who demanded it.
