Saturday evening, 10:30 p.m., after a visit to the opera. In between we only had a pretzel, so it had to be something hearty. But no snack bar. Nice ambience, a bit of peace. We find. In San Marino at Savignyplatz.
First ask carefully: Is the kitchen still open? Most of the guests have already flown out. But no problem, we can sit down, free choice of seats. Comfortable armchairs, Eros Ramazzotti singing discreetly in the background, a very friendly and cheerful waiter – you feel very welcome even at a late hour.
Look at the map. Mozzarella with tomatoes and basil, vegetable lasagna, beef fillet, various pizzas. Everything reads well. I order homemade pasta filled with pistachios, ricotta cheese, lime and peppers with rocket and mascarpone sauce (in the probably older menu on the website it was listed as 11.50 euros, the bill says 13.50 euros), and my companion is penne with beef fillet tips Cream sauce (13.50 euros).
With the first forkful I fall into creamy heaven. The pasta dough is a little thicker and firm to the bite, the filling is creamy and light in taste, the sauce is spicy and compact – very tasty! Add parmesan and a bit of bread to take away the last bit of sauce. I am blessed. And my companion’s plate is also cleaned sparkling clean.
Cappuccino (3.50 euros) and grappa (5 euros) afterwards – oh, you can flop into bed like that.
Conclusion: Great service, which served immediately even when all the employees were already sitting together for an after-work snack, fair prices and excellent pasta.
