After the first summer friendly match with the Lombard Excellence team of Castiglione (won 9-1), Marco Giampaolo’s Sampdoria took the field against Parma in Temù to put minutes in their legs for the next championship start.
The deployments
–
Experiments, on both sides, for both the Sampdoria and Pecchia’s team. Giampaolo tried a 4-1-4-1 with Audero in goal, Depaoli (returned from loan to Verona), Ferrari, Colley and Murru to form the quartet and the young Yepes in front of the defensive line. Then Candreva, Rincon, Sabiri and Verre behind Caputo. 4-2-3-1 instead for the former Cremonese coach with English as the only striker and Vazquez supporting the trocar.
The match
–
Sampdoria got off to a good start, first with a blast from Verre then with a powerful right-foot from Candreva which, however, hit the crossbar. The monologue does not change, it is the Sampdoria who offer more but at 34 ‘comes the joke: English-Juric triangle that leads the Croatian to a precise diagonal that exceeds Audero. The first half ends 0-1. The second half begins with the entry of Leris (another returning from loan, at Brescia last season) for Candreva. And it is he who immediately finds the equal: free kick by Sabiri, short rejected by Chichizola and easy tap-in by the Sampdoria midfielder. Ten minutes later Verre, launched face to face with Chichizola, lets himself be hypnotized and lacks the advantage. Despite the various substitutions to ensure greater freshness on both sides, thanks to the heat the rhythms are lowered up to 90 ‘. The final is 1-1.
