SBS 6 delivers a whole series of flops every season and this year, among others, De Hollandse Nieuwe is among them. The show in which Jeroen van der Boom visits musical talents who audition at home and are judged by Samantha Steenwijk, Danny de Munk and René Froger is a huge flop.

Lowest ratings

After 380 thousand, 383 thousand, 348 thousand, 367 thousand and 387 thousand viewers, De Hollandse Nieuwe received 333 thousand viewers on SBS 6 yesterday. This gave the program a market share of 7 percent. It is the lowest score of the talent show to date. Fortunately, the last episode is already on the channel next week.

Immediately prior to De Hollandse Nieuwe, a new episode of The Hunting Season attracted 503 thousand viewers (13 percent). The programs are respectively 23rd and 15th in the daily viewing figures overview.

Chantal does score

The women’s match Netherlands – Sweden made it difficult for the competition. The NPO 1 report of this was lord and master at prime time with 2 million viewers (44 percent). The most viewed alternative was Chantal Janzen with 652 thousand viewers (16 percent) for a repeat of Oh Wat Een Jaar on RTL 4.

Viewership professor Tina Nijkamp writes on Instagram: “I think Chantal Janzen has to get the dress-up box from the attic again quickly. With a repeat (!) of Oh Wat Een Jaar, she scores 652 thousand viewers, which is no less than 150 thousand viewers more than Ruben Nicolai with the final of Domino Challenge last week. Ouch.”

I do not know

The other most watched prime time titles were RTL 4’s Weet Ik Veel with 558 thousand viewers (12 percent), NPO 3’s Sommerdahl with 539 thousand viewers (12 percent) and NPO 2’s Grantchester with 398 thousand viewers (10 percent).

When Samantha Steenwijk was out of the picture, SBS 6 saw the viewing figures pick up again. Hart van Nederland nevertheless did not make it to the top fifteen with 448 thousand viewers (10 percent).

Viewing figures

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Shownieuws (400 thousand), Laughing at home videos (369 thousand) and Nieuwsuur (343 thousand).
