Less than 100 days to start 29th edition of the Sónar festivalthe great appointment of advanced music completes its program with a new and stimulating batch of artists, among which stand out Samantha Hudson, Niño de Elche and Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés. His presence at Sónar, which returns to its usual, massive and face-to-face format, after two years of forced fallowing due to the pandemic, is added to the already known ones of C. Tangana, Arca, Morad, Nathy Peluso, The Chemical Brothers, Moderat , The Blaze and Bonobo, among many others.
The festival resumed its pulse in October 2021 with more than 100 concerts and activities in a special autumn edition, but the electrifying pre-summer energy of the usual Sónar is already beginning to be felt, which will be held between June 16 and 18 at its usual double venue of Fira Montjuïc and Fira Gran Via. The new names known this Wednesday help feed the desire for Sónar: the unstoppable singer, ‘performer’ and LGTBIQ+ activist Samantha Hudson, which will debut at the festival premiering a new live show; the heterodox singer child of elche, which will present ‘Concert de músika festera’, where it will reinterpret, with more than 40 musicians and machines, the sound of popular festivals; and Maria Arnal and Marcel Bagéswho will show their ‘Hyperutopia’ in a special remix for Sónar where they will apply artificial intelligence to vocal experimentation.
The Sónar lineup is finalized today, with 30 new artists representing all five continents and an injection of local talent.#sonar2022 #sonarfestival pic.twitter.com/oqmcuAiAmk
