Salvatore Ferragamo opens concept store in Soho

Salvatore Ferragamo has opened a new concept store in New York. The store is a “forward-looking approach to 21st-century retail,” the Italian fashion house announced last week.

The store concept was designed with the help of the New York design studio De-Yan. Various areas were created that make the store an “experience center” where “the worlds of Web3 meet stationary retail”.

On an area of 2,600 square meters, customers can participate in an NFT installation by the digital artist Shxpir in addition to the products on offer. Visitors can pose in a photo booth with a backdrop designed by Shxpir and purchase the resulting artwork as an NFT. The installation is rounded off by a limited edition capsule collection consisting of a sweatshirt and a t-shirt.

In addition to the NFT experience, visitors can have a Salvatore Ferragamo sneaker personalized. The selection process, where customers can choose colors and other details, is visualized by a hologram. The sneaker is a model designed exclusively for the concept store and made from Econyl, a recycled material that is obtained from old fishing nets, among other things.
