Among the girls who will move to Milan for a week is India, from the Marches, thirty years old, engaged in the weaving workshop together with another fifteen girls. She had previously done a little bit of everything from hairdressing to a grocery store clerk. She liked the weaving right away, «because you can follow the entire process, starting from the thread to the final product, and this is a great satisfaction. The drawings are made by the manager, or commissioned by the customer, and we make them. From a personal point of view, weaving helped me to be patient, to take care of the details, to stay focused». They all are exercises that are part of the educational patha workout that helps kids to become more aware and autonomous.
Even Patrizia, 30, from Alba, today is very proud of her work in the leather goods workshop, even if the beginning was not easy: «I started crying, I wasn’t used to manual work, moreover stationary. Previously I worked in the purchasing department of the family business, I was always on the go. The first day in the leather shop was very hard». However, Patrizia did not hold back, she quickly learned and today she is happy. For her, the most important aspect is working as a team: «Each of us makes a piece, the final result belongs to all of us. You learn to accept mistakes, because what a colleague makes today, you can do it tomorrow. On the other hand very high quality standards are required of us, everything must be perfect. And this too is a source of pride».

In the recovery community in the province of Rimini currently there are 800 young people who are following the proposed path. In addition to being able to resume their studies, up to university, they have about thirty professional opportunities at their disposal: cattle breeding, kennels, cellars, gardening, dairy, bakery, leather goods, weaving, wallpaper, joinery, carpentry, plumbers, electricians, graphic printing, warehouse workers, hairdressers, kitchens, reception halls. Comprehensive training that allows 90 percent of those who make it to the bottom to find a job immediately upon leaving the community.
