Salomon appoints President for North and South America

French sports retailer Salomon has appointed Steve Doolan to the role of President of the Americas.

In this position, Doolan will lead the company’s operations in North and South America from the regional headquarters in Ogden, Utah, starting October 23, the brand, which is part of the Chinese sporting goods group Anta Sports, announced on Thursday. He will drive the strategy, operational business and growth in the region.

“The Americas region represents a major opportunity and priority for the company,” said Salomon CEO Franco Fogliato. “Steve’s experience, knowledge and passion for the business will be an incredible asset to our team and our company. We look forward to him joining Salomon’s Board of Directors and accelerating our growth trajectory in North and South America.”

Previously, Doolan worked for US sports brand Hoka, where he held a number of strategic roles in commercial, business development and sports marketing over the last five years. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Hoka US.
