THEtheir collaborative album CVLT is ready to leave his mark on the Italian rap scene. Psalm and Noyz Narcos, two of the most influential hip hop rappers in our country, will release this album on Friday 3 November. AND Dario Argento is also there.
Salmo and Noyz: album full of references
Inside CLVT Salmo and Noyz propose a 15 track long journey which delves into their musical worlds. Among the productions there are Luciennn, Salmo himself, Sine and Ford78, while Marracash, Kid Yugi, Coez and appear as guests on the album Frah Quintal.
According to what was communicated, the album contains “a well-defined imagery, which draws heavily from rap, hip hop, cinema – from classics like Blues Brothers up to the world of gore and horror – but also by their respective careers, honored on several occasions”.
The short film made with Dario Argento
To announce this shared project of theirs, the two rappers also involved Dario Argento. Salmo and Noyz Narcos, in fact, have published a special shortproduced by Think Cattleya and Maestro, written and directed by master of horrordirected by the duo YouNuts!, available on Prime Video.
This short film was screened at the Rome Film Festival on October 27th. It is a project in which Noyz and Salmo play the roles of the protagonists. In the images we see the two rappers welcomed late at night by the director in a ghostly villa, inhabited by disturbing individuals and props that recall great films by Argento himself.
The themes of CVLT
The album opens with Anthema song in which the two rappers throw the bars in rapid fire, exchanging each other’s songs. Marracashhowever, appears in Breathea song presented live on stage at the Milan date of the festival Marrageddon and which it has as a reference Breathe by Prodigy (hence the title).
Kid Yugifor its part, arrives in the title track, while Coez and Frah Quintale they sing in the song My Love Song 2sequel to one of the most famous pieces in Noyz Narcos’ discography.
