CHAUTAUQUA – Author Salman Rushdie spoke again on Saturday, his literary agent told The New York Times. Rushdie, who had to be on a ventilator after long operations on Friday, is still in hospital and may lose an eye. His liver has been damaged and nerves in his arm have been cut, the newspaper said.
