Hidden lives Jarkko Miettinen, 41, is an actor and a family father. When Miettinen was coming for the first time as a father, something unexpected happened.

Miettinen had learned that he was expecting the first child with his wife. The first ultrasound examination was all normally and well. When the couple went into a neck-to-neck-to-neck-to-neck translation during the first trimester.

– There were no heart sounds at all, Miettinen tells Iltalehti.

The wife’s miscarriage took place in the spring of 2010. The sadness has already done his job. Miettinen estimates that if the experience of miscarriage was more recent, he would not even be ready to even share it openly, or at least discussing the subject would make much more painful.

After the incident, it has emerged how many Finns and families have an experience of miscarriage.

– It understands how big it is at the moment when the dream comes up and the moment you realize that you can’t influence anything. That moment is really stopping, Miettinen says.

– It feels really small and powerless when we are on the basic questions of life.

Miettinen often thinks about saying that his or her life can be determined and with their own choices to make life a certain.

– At that time, at that time, there was also that there are things that you can’t influence at all.

That summer, Miettinen’s wife became pregnant again. He says that the new pregnancy “was quick to place the situation,” but undeniably, going to the first ultrasound was excited.

– It was really lucky to be, but it did make it a lot of excitement that this would visit us again. On the other hand, it would have been more mentally ready for it, Miettinen says, referring to the first miscarriage that came “completely behind the tree”.

This pregnancy ended luckily and Miettinen has two children in common. The new family has a total of four children and runs at home with one of the Pets Cat last fall Eevert.

Now Miettinen is able to view the experience of miscarriage at a certain distance, although of course understands what kind of feelings the miscarriage causes in families. My own experience reminded me of years, as the story of Noel Axelsson, played by Miettinen, is promising significant twists and turns.

Noel and his pregnant wife Daniela (Lenita Susi) hear stop the news in an ultrasound examination. Their children have died in the womb. The shocked Noel and Daniela first refuse to believe that their son is dead.

When this plot turn came to Miettinen for the first time, my own experience was not the first to come.

– I thought it was great that there is such a bold story that deals with the human questions of life, how much it hurts and touches.

Miettinen says that it felt like a privilege to work on scenes and act with confidence with her good colleague.

– My own memories came afterwards. You will notice that there is clearly time for what happened.

It is difficult to evaluate whether the experience had somehow influenced the acting of the scenes, but Miettinen weighed that at least unconsciously it may have made it easier to identify with the situation.

Miettinen praises that the subject will be boldly done on television, even though he has not yet been able to see ready -made material. He feels that the scenes have given room for emotions and images more than usual and are allowed to speak for replies.

Handling miscarriage in the series and in the story of the Axelsson family also makes Miettinen look forward to the reactions of viewers – the subject is likely to touch many Finns.

– It’s a very sensitive topic and pregnancy often has so much expectation downloaded, imaginations and images. Miscarriage often comes so unexpectedly, and maybe that powerlessness also makes it a really sensitive topic.
