A car ended up on its head on the A28 towards Meppel late last night. The one-vehicle accident happened near Lankhorst, just across the provincial border with Overijssel.
Emergency services quickly arrived to check the driver for injuries. The driver then went with the ambulance.
Two of the three lanes in the direction of Meppel were closed for some time to allow the heavily damaged car to be recovered. It is not known how the accident could happen.
