Sales drop and profit halved for Facebook mother Meta

Meta Platforms, the parent group of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, saw its revenue fall again in the third quarter. The American social media company announced this after the close of stock exchange trading in New York. Furthermore, profits halved, mainly due to higher costs. The numbers on Wall Street were bad as the stock fell sharply in after-hours trading, on top of the strong price loss from earlier in the trading day.
