Sales area in KaDeWe: Skims is coming to Germany

The US lingerie retailer Skims is coming to Germany and opening its first retail space in the Berlin luxury department store KaDeWe.

In a 97 square meter retail space, the brand offers collections such as ‘Seamless Sculpt’, ‘Fits Everybody’ and ‘Cotton’ as well as “viral highlight” products such as the ‘Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress’, Skims announced on Monday. To mark the start of sales, the brand, which was co-founded by US reality TV star Kim Kardashian, will take over the retailer’s storefront.

“I am very pleased to be working with KaDeWe and bringing Skims to Germany for the first time. Germany is our fastest growing market in the EU and we are proud that new customers can experience Skims in a physical environment,” said Skims CEO Jens Grede. “We also look forward to further growth in the EU as we open more physical locations in the future and enter into valuable partnerships with luxury retailers such as KaDeWe.”

First stores in Europe

The brand is currently in the process of expanding its reach through international locations. Just in June, Skims presented its swim line at a pop-up at London luxury department store Selfridges. The shapewear brand is also represented with shop-in-shops at multi-brand retailers such as Harrods, David Jones and Galeries Lafayette. In the next 18 months, the first stores are expected to open in European cities such as London, Milan and Paris.
