Saint Laurent invites you to browse through his Paris bookstore.
The offering at ‘Saint Laurent Babylone’ includes books, art and music media curated by Anthony Vaccarello, the French luxury label’s creative director, Saint Laurent announced on Thursday. The store is located in the culturally influenced seventh arrondissement of the French capital.
As a new space for art, culture and innovative forms of expression, the bookstore will host readings, autograph sessions and musical performances. In addition to rare publications and out-of-print records, new works from the brand’s own book series, ‘Saint Laurent Rive Droite Editions’, were presented, created in collaboration with the Belgian artist Bruno Roels, the Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama, the French photographer Jeanloup Sieff and the Chinese sculptor Cai Guo Qiang were created.
Minimalism and industrial design dominate the store’s spatial concept: sporadically plastered, light walls contrast with large wooden tables and black shelves. Color accents are set by blue elements such as carpets. Cleverly staged books and records can not only be purchased, but also serve as coordinated decorative elements in bright azure.
Saint Laurent Babylone can be visited on Rue de Grenelle in Paris.
