Enni Virjonen16, has broken the Finnish pentathlon record for 17-year-olds, The sports association informs.
Virjonen’s score in Tampere’s Pirkkahalli was 4,287. The previous SE 4,223 was the junior world champion’s Saga Vannisen on behalf of
Vanninen’s record was considered unbreakable, but in the end it only lasted four years.
Virjonen SE was only 84 points away from the age group world record. Spanish Maria Vicente scored 4,371 points in 2018.
Suomalaipaus ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.33, high jumped 177, shot put 15.16, long jumped 570 and ran 800 meters in 2:32.66.
Of these, the height result was Virjonen’s record, and the hurdles was the side’s record. He won the shot put competition by almost three meters.
