Safety region Drenthe points out to refugees the explosion of fireworks

The Drenthe Safety Region (VRD) warns Ukrainian refugees that they may be affected by fireworks and carbide. On their website they explain what the celebration of old and new entails in the Netherlands.

According to the security region, ‘loud bangs’ can be heard between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. The VRD explains what fireworks and carbide shooting entail via the website. According to VRD, it is also possible that bangs can be heard in the days before New Year’s Eve, because “you often hear loud bangs a few days before the new year from young people who can’t wait for the new year”.

In addition to warning about the loud bangs, they also explain in Ukrainian how you can safely set off fireworks yourself.
