The Utah Jazz’s chances of getting into the NBA playoffs are dwindling even more.
The Jazz, who are on a three-match losing streak, will try to break their negative cycle on Monday when the Washington Wizards arrive at their own Delta Celter floor.
Jazz head coach Will Hardy however, has to do without the team’s biggest star Lauri from Markka.
The Finnish giant injured his right thigh in Saturday’s loss to the Miami Heat.
– I don’t know more than that. Lauri is listed as injured, and he is not in the lineup today, Jazz spokesperson Madeline Wehle Crandall told Iltalehte at the club’s training center a little outside of downtown Salt Lake City.
This is Markkanen’s first absence from the Jazz team this year. The last time he sat in the stands was on December 21.
Markkanen’s injury means more playing minutes To Brice Sensabaugh and Talen Horton-Tucker.
