According to his adviser, Austrian national soccer player Marcel Sabitzer still sees his future at FC Bayern Munich.

Roger Wittmann said so on the Sky TV channel after a meeting with Bayern management on Tuesday in Munich. “What we decided is that things are clear and Marcel starts a new attack here,” said Wittmann.

The 28-year-old Sabitzer switched from RB Leipzig to the German record champions at the end of August 2021 for around 15 million euros. At the time, the midfielder was considered the dream player of coach Julian Nagelsmann, under whom Sabitzer had previously been a regular player and captain in Leipzig.

In Munich, Sabitzer was unable to meet the expectations placed on him in his first season. In 25 Bundesliga games he was only eight times in the starting lineup. He comes on a goal and an assist. Sabitzer’s contract in Munich runs for three more years.
