s.Oliver Group sets up childcare for Ukrainian children

As part of the admission of Ukrainian refugees at the company headquarters in Rottendorf, the s.Oliver Group has now organized childcare for the Ukrainian children in the initial reception facility in coordination with the Würzburg district office.

Thanks to the active support and willingness to donate from the workforce, the BRK children’s home s.Oliver Mini Club and other kindergartens in the region, a colourful, child-friendly room was set up in which children between the ages of two and six can find a safe place to play together in the mornings.

The company hired a resident of the initial reception center to look after the children, who was then able to resume her job as an educator on site. She takes care of the children every day during the childcare hours and also provides a piece of home, since the children are able to give the children a bit of normality in their mother tongue and enable refugees from the Ukraine to have joy and moments of happiness is at least as important from a human point of view. Reception facility and clothing donations for people of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the s.Oliver Group has taken responsibility for its fellow human beings and, in close cooperation with the Würzburg district office and local aid organizations, supports newly arrived refugees from the Ukrainian war zone. Since March 10, 2022, 231 refugees have found temporary accommodation in the initial reception center at the company headquarters, 135 of whom have been able to move into their own apartments in the meantime. In total, the district of Würzburg has taken care of more than 450 people in its emergency shelters, 338 have already been placed in their own living space.

In addition, the s.Oliver Group actively participated in the #WeAreAllUkrainians aid initiative by donating 18,000 pieces of autumn/winter clothing for men, women and children. Wladimir Klitschko and Tatjana Kiel, CEO Klitschko Ventures, which supports people in Kyiv. 5,000 pieces of clothing were also made available for an aid transport by the Bundesverband Deutsche Kindertafel eV.
