In order to make the supply chain more transparent, the S.Oliver Group will be working with the German tech company Retraced as a strategic partner. For the Rottendorf-based fashion group, the Retraced platform is thus becoming a central data management tool that is intended to help improve transparency within its own supply chains and enable the digital traceability of products for consumers.
At the same time, Retraced wants to work on the further development of the platform with the support of the S.Oliver Group, especially with regard to social aspects, such as the expansion of digital risk management and the implementation of risk prevention measures in the supply chain. Likewise with regard to continuously increasing demands on companies, supply chains and products. “By pursuing these common goals, both sides will benefit in the long term from the strategic partnership,” said the S.Oliver Group in a press release.
After the successful onboarding of the suppliers of the S.Oliver Group onto the platform, the digital network is to be continuously expanded to include the deeper supply chain. In the long term, every product should then be fully traceable via Retraced.
“The challenges of the fashion industry can only be solved through close collaboration. We see our customers as valuable partners with whom we develop solutions together. The S.Oliver Group has many years of experience in the areas of social compliance and risk management, which supports us in particular in the further development of all LkSG (Supply Chain Due Diligence Act) relevant functions. In doing so, we are helping the industry to meet the challenges of global supply chain laws in the long term and paving the way for a more sustainable fashion industry,” explains Philipp Mayer, co-founder of Retraced.
