The Omikron wave has also thinned out public transport in Berlin. Although the number of infections in the capital is still high, more S-Bahn trains and buses should now be running again.
The corona restrictions on the S-Bahn and buses in Berlin will soon be over: the S-Bahn will be offering the full program again from this weekend, and the regular timetables for the bus lines will apply again from Monday, such as the traffic information center (VIZ) and the S- reported train.
For the underground and trams, the regular timetable already applies again.
From Saturday onwards, the S26 will also run again on weekends – and the S75 will run every 10 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. The amplifiers for lines S1 and S3 are to follow from Monday.
Due to increasing sickness and quarantine cases in the current corona wave, the transport companies had thinned out their program somewhat in January.
