An incoming S-Bahn hit a stroller at Berlin’s Mahlsdorf train station on Sunday afternoon.

According to initial information, the stroller had previously rolled into the track bed. The driver of an incoming S-Bahn made an emergency brake, but the train still hit the car.

A child about one year old was taken to hospital with injuries, a police spokesman said. The child has a head wound and a broken leg.

It is still unclear why the car rolled into the track bed.
