An S7 train collided with an excavator at Wannsee S-Bahn station on Tuesday morning.
The excavator driver and the S-Bahn driver were slightly injured in the accident, according to the fire brigade. According to the federal police, the excavator was standing on the parallel track and hit the driver’s cab of the train with the gripper arm during a pivoting movement.
According to the federal police, the 400 passengers on board were not injured. After the train, which was heading towards the city, was reversed, the travelers were able to continue their journey. After more than an hour, the route was free again.
