Ryanair in dust after it locates Tel Aviv in Palestine | Abroad

Ryanair’s chief executive has apologized for an incident in which the airline’s flight crew located the Israeli city of Tel Aviv in Palestine during a flight. That reports the BBC.

The incident took place on June 10. During a flight from Bologna to Tel Aviv, a member of the flight crew announced that the plane would soon land in Palestine. Several passengers protested, and police personnel had to intervene upon landing.

The riot was picked up in Israeli media and even called for a boycott of the Irish airline.

Ryanair chief executive Eddie Wilson has apologized for the incident. According to him, it was an “innocent error without political overtones” by the crew member. He has also written a letter to the Israeli ambassador to Ireland, stating that Israel is an “important partner” for Ryanair.
