A career quarterback in the NFL Ryan Mallett35, has died.

According to the news site, Mallett was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was rushed from the beach.

NBC News reported that according to the local sheriff, Mallett was part of a group of swimmers who got into trouble. In recent days, several swimmers have drowned in Florida.

Mallett played a total of 21 games in the NFL, the most recent of which was in 2017. He represented the New England Patriots, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens.

Mallett was a third-round pick of the Patriots in 2011. The Patriots honored Mallett’s memory on Twitter.

After his playing career, Mallett worked as a coach. He became the head coach of White Hall High School in Arkansas last year.
