RW Essen buys Götze – are KSC professional Cueto and Schalke veteran Terodde coming?

Squad planning is progressing

Felix Götze will remain with Rot-Weiss Essen in the coming season. After staying up in the 3rd division, the midfielder, who was previously on loan from FC Augsburg, is now obliged to buy. The fee for the 25-year-old is reportedly 250,000 euros.

In addition to Götze, the contracts of the offensive players Cedric Harenbrock (25) and Ron Berlinski (28) have been automatically extended by one year due to their remaining in the league. “The fact that we are now in the league gives us planning security and we can push our squad planning, which we are already intensively working on behind the scenes, even more. We are therefore pleased to be able to continue planning and working with Cedric, Felix and Ron,” said Marcus Steegmann, director of professional football.

The future of attacker Lawrence Ennali (21), however, is still open. The “Bild” had recently reported that Hannover 96 could imagine another loan.

Will Rot-Weiss Essen get KSC professional Cueto and Schalke veteran Terodde?

Meanwhile, Lucas Cueto (27) could be presented as the first newcomer. The left winger, whose contract with Karlsruher SC is expiring, says “WAZ“ in the focus of RWE. The player side has already held several meetings with Steegmann. According to the newspaper, the name of Schalke veteran Simon Terodde (35) should also be discussed in Essen.

The striker absolutely wants to stay in North Rhine-Westphalia and in the consulting scene one is “one hundred percent” sure “that the name is an issue at RWE.” The fact that hardly anything has gotten out to the outside could be related to the fact that Schalke is still fights to stay up – possibly in the relegation. Supervisory Board Chairman André Helf only confirmed to the newspaper that RWE is still exercising restraint with certain names, since these professionals are still facing important tasks at their clubs. According to Transfermarkt information, a move to the 3rd division for Terodde is out of the question. At RWE it is brought into play by “Responsive sport“also midfielder Vinko Sapina (27) from SC Verl.
