AMSTERDAM – Prime Minister Rutte stirs up a lot with his remark ‘the war in Ukraine is our war’. General and artistic director Yoeri Albrecht of cultural center De Balie in Amsterdam: “What Rutte says is true both realistically and morally, our democracy is based on values and we must always stand up for that.” Wendela de Vries of Stop Wapenhandel: “But Rutte doesn’t really say what we want with it. Win that war or stop the violence and the killing; those are two completely different things?”
