Rutger Castricum is very concerned about the offspring of Jandino Asporaat. “I think this man also has children. I worry about that a lot more actually,” he says.
Jandino Asporaat increasingly believes in all kinds of conspiracy theories. The comedian is currently discredited because of his statements in the podcast of a controversial figure. In it he says he doubts things like the moon landing and the attacks on 9/11. The consequence? He has been labeled ‘crazy’ in the country’s best-watched talk show.
Rutger critical
It looks like Jandino isn’t quite comfortable with the angle he’s being pushed into right now after all. When Tim Hofman asks him whether or not he believes in the moon landing and the terror on 9/11, he gives evasive answers all the time. And that is what Trouw columnist Emine Uğur thinks very cowardly.
Rutger Castricum is very disturbed by Jandino’s indignant attitude, he says in the talk show HLF8. “I think it’s utter madness that you are surprised when people think something about it when you sit in front of a microphone and proclaim such madness.”
Caring about children
Jandino has a somewhat confused statement posted online in which he indicates that he will always continue to express his own opinion. He doesn’t understand the fuss: “Why does my question about the moon landing and 9/11 create such a storm, but is it completely silent about the division in the Netherlands and the pain of broken families due to the benefits affair?”
What does Rutger think of that? “Yes, then he will now write a column that it is very strange that people put him in a box. Yes, do you think it’s crazy? I think this man also has children. I am actually much more concerned about that.”
Incidentally, it is also striking that Jandino is suddenly so concerned about the dichotomy in the Netherlands. If you are Instagram feed after all, in which he flaunts expensive cars and expensive holidays, there is little evidence of that.
Ideas
HLF8 guest Filemon Wesselink thinks it’s strange that Jandino has now been canceled for all kinds of guest lessons at schools in Arnhem. “You already knew that he has these kinds of ideas, didn’t you? And yes, now it is in the news and they are going to write him off in one fell swoop… Yes… (…) You can also see that entire career completely destroyed.”
Antoinnette Scheulderman has no problem with that. “It’s been a bit since corona time that some celebrities have exposed themselves as a complete wappie, haven’t they? He is one of them. And Lange Frans and Doutzen. All people who have started to speak the most foreign language. (…) It is very good to mention that this is total bullsh * t that he spouts.”
Rutger: “It is not based on anything. By the way: is this really Jandino? Isn’t this Wendy van Dijk for example?”
Support from Doutzen
It is no surprise that Doutzen is one of the few Dutch celebrities who now supports Jandino. She says under Jandino’s Instagram post: “I’m thankful for people like you! Authentic and a big heart. ?”
Other celebrities who support Jandino are Guido Weijers, Tim Douwsma, Fajah Lourens and Ellemieke Vermolen. The latter writes: “Grateful for people like you, who get up and are awake! Well spoken! ?”
