Rutger Castricum has to cancel Today Inside: ‘NPO not happy’

Rutger Castricum had to cancel a performance at Today Inside because the NPO no longer wants him at the table there on Tuesday evening. “They asked me to.”

It is a great surprise to Tina Nijkamp: on Tuesday evening Rutger Castricum can be seen on all three NPO channels with its own TV program. Rutger and the Nationalists will start on NPO 3 at 8:25 pm, Taxi Castricum will start on NPO 1 at 10:00 pm and De Hofbar will kick off on NPO 2 at 10:10 pm.

NPO not happy

Opposite to the entire Rutger Castricum circus at the public broadcaster, the presenter himself also wanted to join the Tuesday Inside on SBS 6. And that was too much for the NPO.

Rutger tells in the column In The Hallways: “When I was here on Tuesday, the NPO asked: ‘Don’t you want to do that anymore, because then you’re sitting opposite yourself?’ I understand that they ask that, because then I will be here with you and that is a major competitor against NPO 1. I understand that, so I will no longer do that.”

Rutger cancels

For that reason, Rutger has changed his planning at Today Inside. “I canceled last Tuesday, only yes: you have to ask yourself the question that you program me as an NPO on 1 and 2 at the same time and there was also an overlap on 3 to 2. So I was almost on three channels at the same time .”

Wilfred Genee also finds that very strange: “Yes, I saw you on every channel: on 1, 2 and 3. What is this? What is this about? The rising stars?”

Incomprehensible

Rutger himself also finds it incomprehensible. “I often make several programs at the same time. Only I don’t understand it very well either. It is programmed in one day, in one evening and even once on two channels at the same time. On 1 and 2.”

He concludes: “I am therefore the competitor of myself at that moment. I don’t really understand that either.”

Surprise
