Rutger Castricum had a somewhat uncomfortable evening at the Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala. He went there for his colleague Hélène Hendriks, but he did not feel at home there at all.
Talpa’s megastar, Hélène Hendriks, recently won prizes at the Golden Televizier-Ring Gala. Half the crew of her program De Oranjezomer had come along and Rutger Castricum was also present. He appeared as a sidekick in that summer TV show and, according to experts, did a great job.
Rutger uncomfortable
Rutger had an uncomfortable evening, he says in the column In The Walkways. “I was at the Televizier-Ring for Hélène, which I really enjoyed for her. I must honestly say that it took me a while to get through that evening, that Televizier ring among all those people.”
He continues: “I mean: somewhere… I don’t know about you, but somewhere I just don’t belong there. I really enjoy my job, but whether I am suited to walking on red carpets and walking among the people who are there… I just don’t think so.”
Does he want a prize himself?
Does Rutger actually want to win such a Televizier Star himself? “The easiest answer is to say: I don’t care and I don’t need to win any prizes, but I think I would be quite honored if I won a prize at some point, but I don’t have one in mind .”
Host Wilfred Genee: “Still, I have to say: when we won that Ring, I really enjoyed it. When I won that Star myself, I really enjoyed that too. I also won the RadioRing. Also really nice. When that happens, it’s a lot of fun.”
Honored
Wilfred is happy with all those prizes. “No kidding: you can always act very modest, like: it doesn’t matter to me, but I know from my own experience how special it is.”
Rutger: “No, that’s why, and I also think I would be honored with that.”
Wilfred: “So which one do you want to win?”
Rutger: “Yes, I don’t have one… Let me just start with one at all. I don’t care which one.”
