Thanks to a search warrant and international cooperation, the suspects’ vehicle was intercepted on August 26 at 9:30 PM on the A2 near Skierniewice, about 80 kilometers from the Polish capital Warsaw. These are Russians aged 33 and 45, who, according to the West Flemish public prosecutor’s office, work for a transport company.

A few weeks later, both suspects were extradited to Belgium by Poland. Boris N. (45) and Artur D. (33) were both arrested by the Bruges investigating judge on suspicion of murder. On Friday morning, the council chamber ruled again that N. must remain in prison for an extra month in the interest of the investigation. In principle, D. will not appear before the council chamber again until Tuesday, November 18.
