Russian troops fire at nuclear power plant, fire has now been extinguished

The fire that broke out in the night from Thursday to Friday at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Ukraine – the largest in Europe – was extinguished this morning. The authorities report that the fire brigade had mastered the fire at 06:20 (local time), after the emergency services were only able to reach the complex after 05:20 due to continuous shelling and resistance from Russian soldiers. There have been no casualties. Top man Rafael Mariano Grossi of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) gives a press conference about the situation at the Ukrainian nuclear power plant around 10:30 am.
