Russian teams expelled from EuroLeague and EuroCup! – Last minute THY EuroLeague news

Russian Federation clubs were officially expelled from THY EuroLeague and EuroCup. With the expulsion decision, all matches played by Russian teams were also deemed invalid.

Anadolu Efes ranked 5th and Fenerbahçe Beko ranked 11th in the current score situation in THY EuroLeague.

Here are the details of the official decision regarding the Russian teams:

With the decision of the Board of Directors of EuroLeague Commercial Asset (ECA) Shareholders;


– Due to the inconvenience of the developments in Ukraine, Russian Federation teams were expelled from both THY EuroLeague (CSKA Moscow, Zenit St Petersburg, Unics Kazan) and 7DAYS EuroCup (Lokomotiv Kuban, Krasnodar) in the 2021-22 season,


2- As announced after the ECA Shareholders Board meeting on February 28, 2022, it has been decided to exclude all regular season results against Russian teams from EuroLeague and EuroCup scores.
