The company is making the decision to remove Russian teams from the game “in line with our partners at FIFA and UEFA,” it read on EA’s official Twitter account. Those football associations already decided to ban Russian teams from their real-world football leagues.
“EA Sports stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and, like so many voices in the football world, calls for peace and an end to the invasion of Ukraine,” the statement said.
Also, the national teams of Russia and Belarus will be removed from the hockey game ‘NHL 22’. That game is also made by EA Sports.
