The plane crashed into a two-storey house in the city. The governor said in the message that he was on the scene and that he had no information about the victims. The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry later said that the two pilots of the military plane were killed, but no other victims were killed.
According to Russian media, the aircraft involved was an Su-30. The fighter jet is said to have crashed during a training flight.
This is the second incident in six days. On Monday, another Sukhoi Su-34 fighter plane crashed into an apartment building in the city of Yeysk, in southern Russia near Ukraine. At least thirteen people were killed.
