The European Union is going to “restrict the trade in Russian diamonds” as part of the sanctions imposed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was announced by European Council President Charles Michel on Friday during a press conference at the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan. The aim is to make Russian financing of the war more difficult.
