The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, said that the Ukrainian special services plan to blow up a storage facility in the city of Pervomaisky, Kharkiv region, where 120 tons of chlorine are located.
According to Konashenkov, “the SBU is preparing a major provocation on the territory of the Khimprom production association. “This repository is planned to be blown up to accuse Russia of allegedly creating a chemical disaster that caused the death of local residents,” he said.

The city of Pervomaisky is located south of Kharkov. In Soviet times, the Khimprom plant was located there, which was one of the largest producers of chlorine. However, in the 2000s, bankruptcy proceedings were initiated against the enterprise.
On the eve it became known that a tanker with dangerous chemicals was blown up in the city of Rubizhne in the Luhansk region. The Investigative Committee of Russia blamed the incident on the Ukrainian army, which was retreating from the territory of the Zarya plant.
