Russian Ambassador accuses US of hushing up shelling of Bucha

According to him, the Ukrainian military subjected the city in the Kiev region to shelling from artillery immediately after the withdrawal of Russian troops, which could lead to “losses among the civilian population”

The United States is silent about the shelling of the city of Bucha in the Kiev region by the Ukrainian military, declared Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov in an interview with Newsweek magazine, his words are quoted by the embassy in Telegram.

“At the same time, the United States deliberately hushed up the fact that immediately after the withdrawal of Russian troops, the Armed Forces of Ukraine subjected the city of Bucha to artillery fire. This could lead to losses among the civilian population. Thus, it is obvious that the Kyiv regime is trying to shift the blame for all its atrocities onto Russia,” he said.

In the Russian Ministry of Defense reject accusations of involvement in the “murder of civilians in the village of Bucha, Kiev region.” The department called the photographs and videos with bodies imprinted on them “another provocation”. In particular, they were published by such media as Reuters and AFP, as well as adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak. “During the time this settlement was under the control of the Russian armed forces, not a single local resident suffered from any violent actions,” the Russian military says. At the same time, according to them, “the southern outskirts of the city, including residential areas, were fired around the clock by Ukrainian troops from large-caliber artillery, tanks and multiple launch rocket systems.”

Military operation in Ukraine. The main thing

The Ministry of Defense indicated that Russian troops left Bucha on March 30, and the next day, the mayor of the city, Anatoly Fedoruk, in his video message, confirmed that none of the Russian military remained in it, while, according to the department, he “did not even mention any or local residents shot in the streets with their hands tied.”
