– Wada encourages governments to consider entering doping of minors into the criminal code. This has already been done in some countries.
CEO of USADA, the US anti-doping agency Travis Tygart demanded that the International Skating Union ISU redistribute the Beijing medals with Valieva’s discus.
Tygart shared some harsh criticism.
– Russia hijacked the 2014 Olympics. It was caught in the act of running a state-led doping program. Once again, those whose job it is to protect Olympians and athletes, allowed Russia to endanger the health of its own athletes while robbing clean athletes and fans of an opportunity for an honest, fair and authentic Olympic competition.
