Zelensky calls for more military and economic aid from NATO and for Russia to be declared a “terrorist country”
The President of Ukraine, Volodímir Zelenski, addressed a message to the NATO countries on Monday demanding more military and economic aid, while at the same time asking their parliaments to declare Russia a “terrorist country”.
Zelenski has addressed the members of the Atlantic Alliance via videoconference with a speech before the NATO Parliamentary Assembly that meets in Madrid, where parliamentarians from the 30 allied countries and another hundred representatives of other partner countries are represented.
The Ukrainian president has thanked the words and gestures of support for Ukraine that have taken place throughout the Assembly and has demanded that this support be maintained. “To achieve peace we must maintain the common principle, to be against Russia, against this policy of genocide that it is carrying out,” he said.
