Poland has carried out this Friday another dismantling of one of the monuments raised in honor of the Red Army – whose soldiers it has called “murderers and rapists” -, this time one that was located in Glubczyce (south), a measure which has become common among countries with a Soviet past as a kind of retaliation against Russia for the invasion of Ukraine.
“Enough of the Soviet propaganda about the liberation of 1945 and about the liberators who were murderers, infanticides and rapists,” the president of the Institute of National Memory of Poland (IPN), Karol Nawrocki, emphasized during the event, the press service reported. of this institution
Nawrocki has argued that in 1945 Poland was not liberated from Nazi Germany, but enslaved by the Soviets. “It was not the year of a clash between slaves and liberators, it was not a year of good versus evil, it was a year of evil versus evil, the German National Socialists and Soviet Communists,” he has said.
